La Boulangerie, Champ Du Boult
LA BOULANGERIE is a beautifully renovated old village bakery in the Bocage Region of Normandy. It is set in the grounds of Le Bourg Farmhouse which has 13 acres of pasture and fruit trees backing on to the village of Champ Du Boult. The village has a lovely little shop with fresh bread and croissants delivered daily at 8.15 am. It is also a bar and (limited) restaurant.
This comfortable gite consists of a living room, kitchen, shower room and large mezzanine bedroom with an option of 2 single beds or a super king bed. It also has a garden and orchard. The forest of St Sever is literally only 1 mile away and there are numerous walks from Le Bourg itself which lead to the forest.
The gite itself is very well equiped with a woodburner and English TV channels. There is also electric heating throughout.
The property is less than 2 hours from Cherbourg and St Malo and only 1 hour from Caen ferry port.
The owner, Susie Rowe is based in England but can always be contacted. The caretaker and keyholder is Anna and she lives nearby. Anna can also be contacted in an emergency. Once a booking has been made an email will be sent with detailed directions, further ‘House Information’ and information on hospitals, markets and supermarkets etc.
We have also decided to let the Farmhouse through the months of July, August and September. We had kept this beautiful house just for ourselves but felt that we hadn’t been making enough use of it, sadly. It has a large double, ensuite bedroom and a twin bedroom. There is a separate bathroom downstairs as well. We have found that couples (more than families) who are used to more space are willing to pay that bit extra in order to spread themselves around and enjoy the comforts that a larger property brings……and it certainly is spacious!
